Welcome!
Connecticut
Ballet Center is the official school of Connecticut Ballet, offering
children's ballet classes
for beginner through pre-professional levels.
Taught by a professional faculty, Connecticut Ballet Center's classes
includes a ballet training syllabus for boys and girls
year-round. Connecticut Ballet Center offers a full range of ballet and
creative movement classes for children and teenagers ages 3-18.
Connecticut Ballet Center offers a two-week Summer
Intensive for dancers
ages 10-18 featuring a full range of dance offerings, from ballet to
Pilates Floor Mat to Flamenco to Horton modern technique and mime.

In addition, Connecticut Ballet Center offers
introductory and recreational dance classes
for adults at beginner and intermediate levels. Whether you "haven't had
a class since you were a child" or you've always wanted to try ballet,
please feel free to give a call and we'll be happy to have you take a
trial class
to sample our offerings and our unique faculty.

Young Dancer's Ballet Repertory Ensemble:
At the invitation of the Director, students in
levels Ballet 1b and up will undertake a special program of rehearsals and
coaching leading to performance opportunities with the professional
company, Connecticut Ballet, and showcases in the region in March, April,
May 2013.
Connecticut Ballet Center is home to other program
offerings, including
capoeira, tai chi, ballroom, Bollywood and Zumba classes.

GIRLS MAY WEAR A NUDE-COLOR BRA FOR SUPPORT AS NEEDED.
BOYS WEAR BLACK BIKE SHORTS (Ballet 1 & Ballet 2), WHITE SOCKS WITH
BLACK BALLET SLIPPERS. BEGINNING WITH BALLET 2, BOYS SHOULD
BEGIN WEARING A DANCE BELT FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT.
Dress for Character:
Each girl requires black character shoes, ballet class leotard and a
knee-length black circle
skirt.
Boys were white leotard, black tights, white socks, and jazz shoes.

dance attire or a recommended source to acquire the
items.

Thursday 6:30-8:00pm
A CBC tradition - a floor stretch to world
music, basic ballet barre, and
elementary cross-the-floor combinations. Some prior experience helpful.
No required attire except tights and leotards, ballet slippers necessary.
An introductory class for ages 13 & up.
Adult Intermediate Ballet
with Alexander Tressor
Friday 10:15-11:45am
Great intermediate level class with
lots of challenges.
Two to three years previous experience necessary.
Mr. Tressor is one of Connecticut Ballet's company teachers.
Adult Beginner Ballet with
Nicole Gaston
Saturday 9:30-11:00am
A basic introductory class taught by a former Connecticut Ballet and
Zig Zag
Ballet ballerina. A solid workout.
No required attire except tights and leotards.
Adult Intermediate Ballet with Brett Raphael
Sunday 10:00-11:30am
A solid workout with plenty of technical challenges along the way.
Two to three years prior experience necessary.
No required attire except tights and leotards.
Pre-Professional Trainee Program
Designed for students ages 15-19. Five days per week, entrance by audition only.
Black tank top leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Black skirts allowed.
General Dress Code Policy
Proper classroom attire, as designated for each class level, must
be worn
by all students. Hair must be securely fastened off the
face and neck. No
jewelry, large earrings or accessories are allowed.
In the event of
unreasonably cold conditions or at the discretion
of the instructor,
students may wear form-fitting warm-ups. Bulky
shirts, leg-warmers and dance
skirts are not allowed in class. Girls'
hair should be in a "ballet bun"
style-no pony tails. Students with
short hair must effect a smooth,
close-to-the-head hairstyle.
Braids or rolls must be pinned up.
Tuition Information
Adult single-class rate: $18 per class.
Adult 10-class flex card : $150
Expires six months after issue.
$20 annual registration fee per student.
Make-up classes are not applicable to future semesters.
Quarterly payments subject to automatic $25 late payment fee.
Returned check charge: $15
25% discount for second and third siblings.
We accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS.
Tuition is non-refundable after second week of attendance.
Work/Study and Financial Aid Scholarships are available.

financial aid application.
Classes cancelled due to insufficient registration result in tuition
refunds
through the date of the final class.
All rates subject to change.
NOTE: CBC follows the Stamford public school system with regard
to school
cancellation policy or early dismissal due to snow conditions.
